We played the Holidays in the Sun punk festival in Morecambe Bay the other week. The pic above shows us in action. We were on in the ‘aftershow’ spot at 1am after Slaughter and the Dogs and Anti Nowhere League and got covered in beer but thankfully no one had any spit left!
Thanks to all those who stuck around to dance and to Sandy for getting us the gig. The promoter Darren Russel was kind enough to send us an email saying that we were the best aftershow band they had ever had in five years! Some hope of a re-booking then Darren?
Looking forward to playing the Holidays in the Sun punk festival in Morecambe later this month (22nd). After that we have a break until the Autumn when people are talking about booking us in to the US, Dubai (yeah, really) and Germany. See you then.
Cheers to everyone at The Railway. (Why do we always get booked into pubs with that name?)
The band has just completed a four date mini-tour with Stranglers tribute Orange Alert and the Lincoln-based Ex Pistols – cheers to them for organising the dates in Bristol, Bradford, Lincoln and Leicester.
Last week we played our biggest show so far – the Limelight in Belfast. We drove up to Morecambe and got the ferry across to find the whole town covered in Black Market Clash posters – excellent work from local promoter Francis Morrison. We played for almost two hours and knocked out just about everything we knew to an audience of about 300. Excellent stuff – see you again soon we hope.
Paul Simonon doppleganger Jon Williams played bass for us last weekend while regular Simon was away – audience at Southampton Bierkeller did not know what to think!
Ooh-er. Got booked into a working mens club by mistake. They had us down as ‘Back Street Clash’ – some boy band tribute! Half way through the set they came on to draw the raffle. Get us outta here!
